National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) Recognized as a Top Scholarship Contributor

The National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) was recently recognized by AffordableSchools.net as No. 28 of the Top 50 College Scholarship Opportunities.

The National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS), an international honor society organization dedicated to highlighting the accomplishments of high school students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, scholarship, and community commitment, has been recognized for its esteemed member benefits. AffordableSchools.net listed the Claes Nobel Academic Scholarship and Robert P. Sheppard Leadership Award among the “Top 50 of the Best College Scholarship Opportunities.” These scholarships are only available to members of NSHSS.

The Claes Nobel Academic Scholarship awards ten $5,000 scholarships and seventy-five $1,000 scholarships for high school juniors and seniors annually. This essay competition asks scholars to describe how they hope to make a positive impact on society and how their college plans will assist in achieving their vision.

The Robert P. Sheppard Leadership Award is an annual scholarship presented to five students who demonstrate outstanding leadership in community service. The first place winner is awarded a $2,500 scholarship and the top four finalists receive $1,000 scholarships.
